Alpine’s parent company, Renault, announced on Monday the two Hollywood actors are investing alongside Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners.

The £171m deal values Britain-based Alpine Racing, at about £706m.

Alpine have French duo Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon as their drivers are fifth in this year’s F1 constructors’ championship. This is the second time football owners taking on another sporting project in as many days.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has bought a nearly 100% stake in Strasbourg, valuing the club at approximately £65 million.
