Hello, good evening sports fans, it’s me Ayyaz Malik aka The Sports Buff. I hope you’re well, looking after yourselves and are in good health. Sports fans, we need to talk about something important in the issue in the way of sports, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea football club.

On the pitch, they have competed to sign players over the years. Brazilian winger Willian is one player to choose Chelsea over Spurs. There are many more examples no doubt, but what I want to talk about here is that now Chelsea are going head-to-head for a manager.

Antonio Conte was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur and has rightly been seen as an elite manager, but even he wasn’t able to inspire The Lillywhites like he has done with many other clubs before.

Conte’s Chelsea counterpart Graham Potter was sacked after a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, a decision that reeked of sheer panic. The sacking of the now former Chelsea boss Potter is one I have been critically against.

That is the past, in terms of the present both Spurs and The Blues are looking for arguably the same kind of manager. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy was said to be looking to hire Julian Nagelsmann formerly for Bayern Munich, Chelsea reportedly are also interested.

Just like it was when it came to players, now managers are facing a straight choice between Tottenham and Chelsea, who will win out of the managerial tussle between these two, God knows, but may the best team win.

In the case of both clubs, both have hired and fired several managers in the past decade. Chelsea have fired more, but Tottenham aren’t too much better. One thing is for sure is that Todd Boehly and Daniel Levy will be desperate to get this managerial appointment right.

We feel whoever either club gets off this list, could be a good appointment. The question is, would either chairman be patient enough to give their man the time?
