Newcastle United potentially handed champions Manchester City a lifeline in this year’s Premier League title race after holding leaders Arsenal to a spirited 0-0 draw.
The Magpies who started the day in third stemmed any Arsenal flow. It would be the visitors to Newcastle United who would miss the game’s best chance as Joelinton headed wide with the goal gaping.
A credit to Eddie Howe’s men that they can be disappointed by only drawing with The Gunners.
As for Arsenal, they can only see how costly this draw is when Manchester City play on Thursday. A nice and easy game not) against Chelsea awaits, but The Blues have been in bad form, even before the World Cup break.
Although a good result for Newcastle this draw, Manchester United are now level on points with them, with a game hand.
The Red Devils won 3-0, thanks to a late Marcus Rashford goal which helps him keep up his fine form this term.

Leicester are 13th in the league three points above the drop, which made today’s game against Fulham even more important.
After such high hopes, the East Midland side came up short in this one. Alexander Mitrovic was the man with the goal to maintain Fulham’s impressive start to the week.
