Compared to previous nights of the competition, the best darts of the BetMGM Premier League were not produced in Brighton, yet the matches and results were nothing but interesting.

The first game saw Jonny Clayton checkout the bullseye to win the deciding leg and defeat Luke Humphries 6-5, making it the third consecutive week that ‘Cool Hand’ has not progressed past the first round.

Josh Rock grabbed more points on the board in his quest to rise up the standings after beating Gerwyn Price 6-3 which included an impressive 164 checkout in the first leg.

Whether he had an off-day or not, Luke Littler’s performance was not good enough to take out the birthday boy as Stephen Bunting defeated the world champion 6-4.

In an all-Dutch matchup, Michael van Gerwen secured his place into the semi-final after beating Gian van Veen 6-4, despite ‘The Giant’ coming close to coming back.

‘The Ferret’ managed to claim revenge on ‘Rocky’, this time by winning 6-4 in an unsurprisingly close game.

Speaking of close matches, MVG did enough to defeat ‘The Bullet’ by winning on the deciding leg in what looked like an equal contest.

In the final, it was once again came down to the 11th leg to declare a winner as Clayton came from 5-2 down to conquer ‘The Green Machine’ 6-5, winning his third night in the competition.

The Welshman returns to the top of the table, three points ahead of second-placed Littler, while van Gerwen’s match wins created a four-point gap from fourth to fifth place in the Premier League standings.
