One of the most action-packed and unpredictable leagues in football prepares for the last run of fixtures before the official standings confirm which teams are moving up or down.
EFL Championship chaos returns on Good Friday as the intensity kicks back in to another level after the international break.
In the fight for the top two automatic spots, Coventry City are in the most comfortable position for promotion, sitting nine points ahead of second place with the trophy and the Premier League almost within sight.
Middlesbrough’s last three matches have caused them to be in an anxious position, holding onto the second automatic position while two points ahead of two other sides.
Ipswich Town are one of them closing in with a game-in-hand in their bid to return to promotion as they sit on 69 points.
Despite a far lower goal difference, Millwall are on the same points as The Tractor Boys in the battle for promotion as Alex Neil’s team hope to gain Premier League football for the first time in the club’s history.
Only five points away from Middlesbrough are fifth-place Hull City who are focusing more on staying in the play-off zone with a three-point gap from two other teams.
Southampton are on 63 points in the lowest play-off spot as their 14-game unbeaten run has allowed them to enter the top six of the Championship.
On the same points as The Saints is Wrexham who are in familiar territory in previous season with back-to-back-to-back promotions as a chance for one more tier up for the Welsh side is still there.
Derby County are still in the fight for a spot in the top six, despite being six points away from the play-offs as their form in the last five matches has kept The Rams in it.
Meanwhile, looking at the other end of the table, five teams are currently in the relegation battle which seems very likely that no one is confirmed to go down until the final game of the season.
Except Sheffield Wednesday who were already relegated after a 2-1 loss to rivals Sheffield United in February.
Oxford United are currently 23rd, but are one point away from survival as the form in their last five contests has kept them fighting to stay in the Championship.
Leicester City are on the same points with 39 and a place above Matt Bloomfield’s side as The Foxes are having their worst season yet and hope for an ending soon which sees them remain in tier two of English football.
With a game-in-hand, Portsmouth are teetering over the relegation zone on 40 points with a big worry of going down after a winless streak of six matches.
West Brom’s form has only just started to pick up, and at a good time as they’re unbeaten in four games while sitting in 20th place, despite being four points ahead from the bottom three.
The final team which is currently in the fight for survival is Blackburn Rovers as they’re currently on the same points as The Baggies and hope Martin O’Neill will put full concentration into the club after his unfortunate duties with Northern Ireland which saw them lose the semi-final play-off round in the World Cup Qualification.
