The BetMGM Premier League travelled to Ireland where the Oche was hosted at the 3Arena.
One match would sadly not take place due to Gian van Veen withdrawing from the night after being diagnosed with kidney stones, meaning Michael van Gerwen proceeded to the semi-finals with a pass.
Luke Littler and Stephen Bunting began the action as ‘The Nuke’ triumphed 6-3 in a match where the Liverpudlian was too late to come back from after being 5-1 down.
Gerwyn Price whitewashed Josh Rock 6-0 which certainly made the Dublin crowd happy as ‘The Iceman’ cruised his way to victory.
Despite coming back from 3-0 down, Jonny Clayton was knocked out in the quarter-finals for the first time in this Premier League campaign as Luke Humphries defeated the Welshman 6-3.
Into the last four, van Gerwn vs Littler came down to a deciding leg as both men hit an impressive 170 checkout during their match, and it was the Warrington darts player who moved into the final after checking out 22 to win 6-5.
Once again, Price displayed dominance as he defeated ‘Cool Hand’ 6-1 while having an average of 109.04 and a checkout percentage of 66.67, booking his place in the final showdown.
The final was a flabbergasting watch as Price looked to have dominated with another victory after being 5-0 up, but multiple missed chances to seal the game led Littler to comeback and win the match 6-5 in an unbelievable comeback.
‘The Ferret’ still remains at the top of the Premier League standings on 19 points, but Littler has closed the gap by three points to position himself in second.
