The three-way title tussle in Scotland is only getting more intense. Celtic managed to find a last-gasp win over Kilmarnock, and Rangers overcame title rivals Hearts, with a comprehensive 4-2 win.
Celtic and Rangers enjoyed the better of the weekend, due to both of their victories seeing them eat into Hearts’ lead at the top of the SPL. Former Everton striker, who has had a challenging start since moving North of the Border, grabbed his first hat-trick at senior level.

Derek McInnes’ men have led the table for a good chunk of the season, but as we get to the ‘business end’, the Edinburgh club seem to be losing steam. It is hoped that this is a midseason blip from the Hearts viewpoint.
The Scottish League table sees Hearts of Midlothian top of the table on 57 points, Rangers are second with 55, with Celtic one point further back with 54 points, although The Hoops have one game in hand.
It’s not very often you get a tight title race in Scotland, but I am all for it!
