After the highs and lows for the second-tier sides in the FA Cup, the Championship returned with plenty of exciting action.

The first fixture of the week occurred on Friday night where West Brom hosted Middlesbrough at The Hawthorns.

Femi Azeez and Josh Coburn gave Millwall a huge away victory in a 2-0 triumph against Watford, bouncing back from a 5-1 cup loss to Burnley.

Hull City held on to defeat Southampton 2-1 at St Mary’s Stadium as The Tigers return to a play-off position.

Adrian Segecic’s 65th minute goal was enough to give Portsmouth three valuable points in a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday in their quest for Championship survival.

Derby County returned to winning ways as Patrick Agyemang’s 82nd minute strike did the job for their 1-0 away win over Preston North End.

It was a frustrating 0-0 draw for both Oxford United and Bristol City as it affected their battles for relegation and play-offs.

Stoke City could only end goalless against Queens Park Rangers at the bet365 stadium as both teams are close to each other and not far off the top six.

Norwich City still remain one point away from safety but earned a vital 2-1 away victory over Wrexham.

Sonny Carey delivered Charlton Athletic a 1-0 win over Sheffield United, despite the Blades receiving two red cards in the match for El Hadji Djibril Soumare and Japhet Tanganga.

Patrick Roberts cancelled out Zan Vipotnik’s strike as Swansea City shared a point with Birmingham City in a 1-1 draw.
