It’s another trophy triumph for the new world number one as Luke Littler shines in Wolverhampton.
The final was nothing but common and a classic as he faced rival competitor, Luke Humphries, for the title.
Littler defeated Danny Noppert 16-9 to reach the finale in what was the Dutchman’s highest average in the knockout stage.
‘Cool Hand’ reached the last match to success after a close battle with Gerwyn Price to win 16-13.
Once both men won 10 legs each in the match, ‘The Nuke’ began to steal the show, landing 140+ checkouts and coming close to a few nine-darters.
In the end, Littler secured a 96 checkout to beat Humphries 16-11 and won his second consecutive Grand Slam.
Now that he has successfully defended one title, the Warrington darts player must defend another as the World Championship is just around the corner.
