Tuesday and Wednesday’s Carabao Cup games have been nothing but eventful for the top four divisions in English Football.
The Carabao Cup had some unforgettable scores with a lot of underdogs heading into the third round of the tournament.
Port Vale shined with a 1-0 win away to Birmingham City with Jaheim Headley’s 45th minute goal being enough to hold on.
Bradford City defeated Championship league leaders Stoke City 3-0, away at the Bet365 Stadium, keeping their undefeated record for the season.
After being 2-1 down, two quickfire goals from Jorgen Strand Larsen put Wolves through into the next round, knocking West Ham United out of the cup.
Brentford earned a 2-0 win against Bournemouth thanks to goals from Fabio Carvalho and Igor Thiago, plus Julian Araujo was sent off in the 91st minute.
Wycombe Wanderers saw themselves go through to the next round after a tense penalty shootout from their 1-1 draw against Bromley.
After a 1-1 draw, Leeds United suffered a horrendous penalty shootout loss as Joel Piroe, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sean Longstaff missed their spot kicks, while Sheffield Wednesday scored theirs with Ethan Horvath becoming the hero.
Barnsley went from behind to win 2-1 against Rotherham United in what could only be described as a very entertaining game.
Oliver Sonne’s 91st minute winner sent Burnley through to round three after defeating Derby County 2-1.
Speaking of late winners, Kiefer Moore snatched Wrexham the win in the 92nd minute to defeat Preston North End 3-2, away at the Deepdale Stadium.
