The second division of English Football continues to showcase its unpredictability.
The first game of week three began on Friday night at the Pride Park Stadium.
Derby County rescued a point in a 1-1 draw against Bristol City, thanks to a late goal from Carlton Morris , cancelling Scott Twine’s opener.
Abdul Fatawu scored his first goal of the season to help Leicester City win 1-0 away to Charlton Athletic.
Blackburn Rovers won their first league game of the season after a demolishing 3-0 win away to Hull City.
Swansea City managed to equalise in the 82nd minute and hold Watford to a 1-1 draw after Zan Vipotnik put The Swans on level terms.
Despite only having two shots, and defending 15 shots against them, Milutin Osmajic’s early penalty goal was enough for Preston North End to claim three points against Ipswich Town.
After Kiefer Moore’s brace for Wrexham, Sheffield Wednesday completed the comeback and held the Welsh side to a 2-2 draw.
With 10 minutes after 59 minutes, Stoke City remain at the top of the table after defeating Southampton 2-1 in a marvellous away game for The Potters.
Speaking of which, Middlesborough also kept their 100% win rate in the Championship, beating Norwich City 2-1 with Jacob Wright being sent off in the 58th minute.
West Brom were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Portsmouth as Michael Johnston’s first-half goal wasn’t enough for The Baggies as Colby Bishop equalised in the 56th minute.
Sheffield United’s devastating run continued with misery after a 1-0 defeat at home to Millwall as Luke Cundle’s finish was enough to earn three points.
Coventry City battered QPR in a dominant game, winning 7-1 which saw Haji Wright, Jack Rudoni and Victor Torp all score two goals in a thrashing triumph.
Finally, Paik Seung-ho scored the only goal in the game between Birmingham City and Oxford United, keeping the Blues unbeaten in the Championship.
