After defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr by unanimous decision in his last fight, Jake Paul’s confidence is only increasing.

The influencer met with Turki Alalshikh to try and make a matchup between himself and Anthony Joshua.

AJ has not fought since his knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, delaying his return due to elbow surgery in May.

Despite the fight looking very unrealistic, Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian believes that the blockbuster showdown can happen.

“I think experience wise, Jake is learning very fast and growing, and Joshua is a little long in the tooth,” Bidarian said.

“So it could be a very interesting matchup, and we’re actively discussing it with Matchroom.”

While concerns are raised over Paul competing with the power of the former World Heavyweight Champion, Bidarian believes that his client is ready and is willing to take the fight.

The CEO of Most Valuable Promotions mentioned about Francis Ngannou’s opportunity to fight AJ, having less experience than Jake has now.

The last time that Joshua won a Boxing match was when he knocked out the former UFC Champion in Riyadh.

“Francis Ngannou, amazing MMA fighter, very powerful man, but not an experienced boxer, right?”

“He is a lot less experienced than Jake Paul. So if people were comfortable with Francis getting in there with AJ, Jake, who is now 13 fights in, plus one amateur fight, then we are comfortable with this.”

While Hearn prefers to make the long-awaited Fury-Joshua fight, but he does believe it could be a good redemption fight for him before facing ‘The Gypsy King’.

Not to forget that Tyson Fury retired after his rematch loss to Oleksandr Usyk in December.

“AJ-Paul is never a fight we anticipated, and it’s never a fight we’ve targeted,” Hearn said.  “But if you want Jake Paul to be the warm-up fight [for Tyson Fury] and obviously, financially, it’s a great opportunity for AJ and you want to provide AJ with the opportunity to extinguish Jake Paul from the world of boxing, then maybe AJ would oblige.”

“I think he gets flattened ASAP, but there’ll be a huge amount of people globally that would want to watch that.”
