F1 has finally found a challenger to three-time defending champion Max Verstappen, in the form of McLaren’s Lando Norris. Who would have thought it? With the greatest respect to Norris, he does of course plenty of potential, but there are more experienced drivers on the track.

Not to be deterred the youngster has been gradually improving and this season, to be precise the last month Lando is taking some race wins away from Max. It’s not just in all sports, tennis is another sport that’s benefitting for a pool of string competition. Janik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz to name some.

The competition is forcing tennis’ top players to play at 110% instead of just the 99%. What we have been getting as the spectator is some epic match-ups, filled with drama and high in action.

Until only a few months ago, F1 fans could have been forgiving for sleepwalking and still seen Verstappen become champion. Spear headed by Norris I argue, Charles LeClerc is much more competitive

The Monte Carlo driver at times didn’t believe he could get close to Max Verstappen. That mental barrier seems to have broke. This period is a potential tricky period for Verstappen, but for now he has impressively regrouped to take back charge of the championship race.

Between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, the lead between the two men is 69 points.
