Winning and losing in sports can be a habit in their own right. When a team wins one game and another game after that and so on, they can’t seem to do anything else but win.

Let’s take Everton for example. The Toffees, at the start of the season, couldn’t buy a win, or buy a point.

Sean Dyche’s men were in the bottom three of the Premier League and the boo-boys were out in full force.

This Everton team is useless and they’re going down, was what the common belief was amongst the masses. The Toffees however to their credit, since winning their first game, a 3-1 win at Brentford have not looked back since.

There was a 3-0 blip against Manchester United at Goodison Park, five games ago, but the Merseyside club have put that firmly behind them. I am not sure how much you value them, but in the form table, Everton are fourth!

Three-time defending Premier League champions Manchester City are currently an example of being on the other end of the spectrum.
Pep’s City side after their latest draw, this time against Crystal Palace, have now won just once in six games.

When The Cityzens won 2-1 against Kenilworth Road against Luton Town last time out, many (me included), thought this mini rut that City seem to having annually is now over, especially after being 2-0 up against Palace.

In Manchester City’s case, it can be argued, ok they’re not losing but the art of winning a game is not there for them at the moment.

Man City, being the most successful team, in English football for the past six seasons, one would surely say, they would just find a way to get back on the winning horse.

Last month the former Ajax manager was manager of the month, now though, the man can’t buy a win it seems!

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are two other teams who have just ended their losing sequences. Ironically Spurs would beat The Magpies to end their losing sequence.

In Europe, Barcelona have caught this bug of not being able to win for a semi-sustained period.

Why do I mention this, win or lose sports fans, don’t take your team’s success for granted either way. It can change in an instant.
