Newcastle have completed the signing of Tino Livramento from Southampton for a fee in the region of £40 million.

Livramento was on the books of Premier League rivals Chelsea and joined The Saints in a £5 million deal.

With the superb form of Keiran Trippier at right-back, the 20-year-old’s best chance of staking his claim for a place in the side is at left-back.

Tino Livramento in the 2021 season impressed for former club Southampton at full-back, but an unfortunate knee ligament injury meant the former Chelsea was injured for the 2022 season.

Livramento becomes the third major signing for Newcastle.
Sandro Tonali and Harvey Barnes are the other major additions for Eddie Howe’s side, who are looking to build on last season’s fourth-place finish.
